Installing your own OpenStack

If you would like to explore OpenStack in depth, you can install your own instance of OpenStack on a virtual machine (for best results use m2.large flavor).

We recommend to use the RDO packstack installation, following the online instructions

Note: the packstack utility uses puppet modules to install and configure OpenStack. The versions of this software may clash with the versions found on the default CERN CentOS 7 VMs, and it some yum-trickery may be needed to overcome this.
