Known issues and troubleshooting

If link aggregation is configured for your node and on the connected switch, PXE booting will no longer work. This will impact any disruptive operations such as installation (ai-bs/openstack server create), re-installation (ai-rebuild) or deletion (ai-kill/openstack server delete) and the corresponding instance will end up in an ERROR state.

In order to allow these operations (again), the aggregation needs to be disabled on the switch before any of these operations can take place and can only be re-enabled after (by the networking team).

Node's provision_state is ERROR

If the baremetal node is stuck in error state, you can remove the instance and move the node to available state by running:

openstack baremetal node undeploy $NODE
