OpenStack clients on Lxplus

Since December 2023 the lxplus.cern.ch alias points to resources on RHEL9 which has up-to-date OpenStack clients installed.

The older clusters lxplus7 (which does not have any OpenStack clients any longer) and lxlus8 are deprecated and should no longer be used.

From Linux, you can connect to lxplus via

$ ssh lxplus.cern.ch

Check this section for detailed information on how to configure your openstack client.

Apart from Lxplus, you will find up-to-date OpenStack clients on the aiadm.cern.ch nodes. For access to the Technical Network you can use aitnadm.cern.ch.
